Celebrate the United States’s birthday on Saturday, July 1, 2017 by wearing red, white and blue to Stafford Promotion’s most patriotic bar crawl in Savannah! Get ready for a day full of Star Spangled shenanigans and festivities with hundreds of your closest friends. The first 250 participants to complete their scorecard by traveling throughout Downtown Savannah, drinking their way through the city, will receive an official Bar Crawl Savannah T-shirt!

Fourth of July on the River
Fourth of July firework show on historic River Street hosted by the Savannah Waterfront Association. Fireworks begin around 9:00 p.m.

Fireworks on the Beach
Tybee Island’s annual firework show begins about 9:15. Fireworks are staged on the pier but easily seen from any of Tybee’s eastern beaches.



AUGUST 4, 2017 - AUGUST 19 - RETURN TO THE ’50S!

Bop, stroll and twist on over to the Savannah Theatre and Return to the ’50s! Celebrating their 15th anniversary in Savannah, the cast at Savannah Theatre will present a revival of our first show, which captures America’s most beloved decade of music, when every song on the radio was a hit! The band is rockin’ and the cast is boppin’, strollin’ and twistin’ the night away, with over 60 of your favorite songs – from the rock and roll classics of Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly and Elvis to the sensational harmonies of DooWop. It’s another “blast from the past” at the Savannah Theatre, complete with side-splitting comedy. From hula hoops to the hand jive, come join in the fun! Shows are at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, with matinee performances at 3 p.m. on select Sundays. Tickets are about $40 for adults and $20 for children and can be purchased online at or by calling the box office at (912) 233-7764.

Dozens of classic voice performances across the city, including concerts, opera, theatre and food and wine events.

Southeast Crab Feast, August 11 2018
Seafood festival at Lake Mayer Park, with all-you-can-eat blue crabs and music. From $28 per person, children (5-11) $10.


The Savannah Gourmet Seafood & Spirits Festival is one of Savannah’s most celebrated summer events and the resort is delighted to announce first details about the fourth annual celebration occurring. This fourth annual Gourmet Seafood & Spirits Festival will welcome celebrity chefs, renowned restaurants, competitive mixologists, flagship spirits and much more over four days. Last year’s festival welcomed over 1,000 guests to Hutchinson Island and this year’s events will draw even more attendees.

Savannah’s monthly downtown art walk, visiting several Historic District art galleries. Free event.

Free Entrance Day at Fort Pulaski, September 22 2018
Free entry to Fort Pulaski to mark National Public Lands Day.

Savannah Jazz Festival, September 23-29 2018
Savannah’s annual Jazz Festival, a week of day- and night-time jazz concerts, some in outdoor venues. Free admission.

Fiesta Latina, September 29 2018
Latin heritage festival on River Street with dancing, crafts, food and live music.


Tybee Island Pirate Fest, October 4-7 2018
One of Tybee Island’s most popular annual events, this pirate-themed festival features a parade, music and other entertainment.

Oktoberfest, October 5-7 2018
Beer garden on River Street with a range of beers, sausages and other German foods, plus wiener dog races. Free admission.

Savannah Greek Fest, October 11-13 2018
Large annual celebration of Greek food, music and culture. $2 donation requested Friday evening and all day Saturday; other times admission is free.

Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival, October 19-21 2018
This event in nearby Richmond Hill is one of the southeast’s largest seafood festivals, with arts and crafts stalls, seafood, live music, rides and more. Ticket purchase required.

Savannah Film Festival, October 27-November 3 2018
Increasingly influential film festival with screenings ranging from major international productions to student-created shorts. Ticket purchase required.


First Friday Fireworks, November 2 2018
Monthly fireworks display along River Street. Free event.

Low Country Craft Brew Festival, November 2-4 2018
Annual craft beer festival on River Street, with beers from local breweries and live music. Ticket purchase required.

Rock ’n’ Roll Savannah, November 3-4 2018
Annual marathon, half marathon and 5K races with finish line festival and music. Registration required to run.

Savannah Food and Wine Festival, November 5-11 2018
This annual festival is Savannah’s main celebration of food and drink, with events held across the city during its week-long run including the popular River Street Stroll and Taste of Savannah. Ticket purchase required for individual events.

Gobble Wobble Thanksgiving Bar Crawl, November 17 2018
Annual Thanksgiving-themed bar crawl in downtown Savannah, organized by Stafford Promotions. Registration required.

A Christmas Tradition, November 22-December 24 2018
2-hour annual Christmas-themed, family-oriented performance at the Savannah Theatre. Shows available Tuesday-Sunday. Adults $37, children (under 18) $18.
