Another similar question is “Do you have animals in the house?” The innkeeper has 2 cats that are in the owner’s private apartment. The cats do not come into the inn.
Do you offer any special rates or discounts?
The Inn does not offer discounts, because our rates are consistently lower than most downtown B&Bs in the historic district. We may ease this policy mid-week in low season. Please contact us.
How do I know if a specific room is available?
To view our vacancies please go here.
Does the inn provide parking?
Yes. Green Palm Inn has 3 off-street parking spots, and 1 on the street.
What types of food does the inn serve for breakfast?
Typically, one morning is more of carb breakfast, and the next day is more of a protein, egg-type breakfast.
To accommodate special diets, we really need to know dietary restrictions at booking or a minimum of 2 days in advance of arrival.
Does the Inn accommodate diet restrictions?
We always cook salt free. Additionally, yes, we will accommodate diet restrictions. We prefer diet concerns to be voiced during booking; but, for smooth menu planning, we need at least 2 days advance notice to accommodate for gluten free and sugar free diets, for example.
How does Green Palm Inn assist international travelers?
This inn hosts many international travelers, including business executives, solo travelers and couples.
Our innkeeper, Diane McCray, or a staff member will sit down with each guest and with a Savannah map to orient them to the downtown, to spots of interest, and answer any questions.
Of course, staff will answer any ongoing questions and make recommendations continually throughout your stay.
How far is the Green Palm Inn from all the things to do downtown?
The B&B is 4 blocks from Bay Street and River Street, and about an 8-minute walk to City Market.
Will there be restaurants near me while staying at Green Palm Inn?
Our innkeeper, Diane McCray, or a staff member will always sit down with arriving guests, with a Savannah map to orient guests. We discuss where restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, local cocktail spots and pubs are located.
Our staff will happily call for reservations and answer any ongoing questions to help guests maximize their visit in Savannah.
Do men need to bring a dinner coat?
Savannah does not have a formal dress code for dinner. However, at some restaurants — such as Elizabeth of 37th, Olde Pink House, Alligator Soul, and 45 Bistro — men will be more comfortable in a business- or church-type jacket. A tie is really not necessary for fine dining here.
Unless men need a coat for business, a jacket is not needed if you plan to dine at less casual places.
Can you arrange personal / private tours?
Of course we can — walking, riding, carriage rides, etc. — depending on the time of year.
Where do I get the trolley or shuttle tours?
The inn can call a shuttle or trolley tour to pick up guests at the inn. The shuttle tour bus arrives typically within 10 to 15 minutes, sometime less.
